I was trying out some extra apps, and found I couldn't get gimp
running. Here's the odd warning:
may:chuckr:/Users/chuckr:10 gimp
Xlib: connection to may.chuckr.org:0.0 refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: may.chuckr.org:0.0
I get similar warnings every so often when I change window managers in
.xinitrc . See if this solves it for you:
rm ~/.Xauthority
touch ~/.Xauthority
Then start X again.
