removing gcc46 manually and installing the latest version cleared the way for a
complete fink update-all.

I operate two Mac systems an iMAc and a MacBook Pro, both have the same system
and should be up to date. Both systems have fink installed. The iMac (Xcode
4.1) finished the fink selfupdate
and fink update all nicely:
tulip:~ fink --version
