Sequentially removing dependencies in
/sw/fink/10.7/local/main/finkinfo/fvwm2.info
and updating the source MD5 check-sum seems to have produced working images
(for me)
in
/sw/bin/fvwm2
/sw/lib/fvwm/2.6.5

Copied the fvwm from 10.4 tree and tried to install unsuccessfully.
