I'm pretty sorry to ask this question here, but I do not see other way to find a solution.
I'm experiencing some strange behavior on a iMac Rev A 10.2.6 upgraded with G3/466 newertech (which crashes very often). After a recent crash, I got the following problem.
When the system boots I get the classical login window but when I try to connect, I come back to the login window again. But I can connect via ssh and have a look at the system.log which says

The crash is a EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) KERN_INVALID_ACCESS (0x0001) at 0x216a7838
and if I try a SystemStarter by hand I get the same kind of result, ran fsck, rebooted single, etc...
Does anyone have an idea to fix the problem without reinstalling everything (as well as fink, unstable branch... and days of compiling)?
Thanks for any help mailed at Bruno.Martin at essi.fr and sorry again since it is not the right place to ask this question.
BTW, fink is great and I love it !!!!
