I recently installed fink on a new iBook 800, running 10.2.3, and sourced /sw/init.sh in my .bashrc. Since then, I've noticed that whenever I open a Terminal, it takes *forever* for the session to start. I'm pretty sure that it's init.sh that's taking forever to run, because when I commented it out of the .bashrc, sessions would start almost instantaneously.

On the other hand, on my PowerMac, there is no appreciable difference to starting a Terminal with init.sh or without.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I glanced at the FAQ and didn't see anything.

Thanks, Pillsbury
