I tried what you suggested Gordon but it didn't solve the problem.
What is strange is that when I redirect the output of
update_prebinding to a file I have reference to /sw in the file.
Namely,
update_prebinding: redo_prebinding on
/sw/lib/libaudiofile-0.2.0.dylib:can't open file:
/sw/lib/li

No, fink doesn't change any system files, that's the whole point in
it. There were good reasons why we chose not to go into /usr/local
either, to prevent exactly such problems.
