If you mean KDE failures on X11 beta 1, it's pretty likely that they were caused by bugs of X11. More specifically, your comment reminds me of a beta 1's bug related to color depth. KDE apps crashed on the 16 bit (thousands) color mode, whereas they run smoothly on the 24 bit (millions) col
