I did have the same problem feww minutes ago. I checked the router and the Firewall protection was on I disabled the firewall and I was able to connect.
Now I need to find out how to confire the router firewall so that I cna connect without bring down the proctection.

I was able to fix the problem. THe server didn't have installed the .NET 2 framework.

I'm using firebird server 1.5 and provide v. 2 on a Windows server. I have also place the Firebird client.dll on my bin directory.
If I run my application from my development PC conecting to a remote database server I can connect without problem. But when I try running the web application

I found the problem. The reason was some bug in VS 2005 with the table adapter name. I changed my tableadptername to a shorter one and the problem was gone.

Problem Solved. My firewall in my pc was blocking the access to the server. Now I'm able to create a connection and I'm able to see the database components on the database explorer. Success at Last!

I have some success on the installation. I downloade the lastest vesion of beta 4 RC1 follow again all the steps then I was getting an error when trying to create a connection package can't load.

I did install VS 2005 Beta 2 on this PC then I removed everything using the removal tool from MS website.
When I bought my license of VS 2005 then I did install it in the same pc.
