why are you saying that ?
it performs well with Firebird and more generally with rdbms
RAID 1+0
Two disc pairs are mirrored and the resulting mirrors are combined

Generally speaking, it's common knowledge that RAID 5 offers better read
performance while RAID 10 offers better write performance
RAID 5:
10% more faster in read than raid 10
