Hi, I am still battling with FB on another port. I have changed the
firebird.conf file to use port 3051. This seems to work as the port is
actively monitored when FB runs and not when it is stopped.I then used
FlameRobin and created a host (LocalFB) on port 3051. When trying to
create a database
firebird also uses port 3051 for events by default, so you may be running
into a conflict, I suggest changing the port to something much higher, say
43050 & 43051

That is not correct. Firebird uses any available port for events, unless the
server is configured to use a specific port, via RemoteAuxPort. If events are
being used and there are no available ports

Looks like you put "LocalFB" into "hostname" field instead of "display
name" field. Your database registration dialog should look like this:
