I did a video on that topic quite some time ago.

Thanks Helen for the response.
I made sure1. Registry does not have any firebird related keys that are
pointing to firebird 1.5 or anything else. 2. echo %FIREBIRD% does not print a
value3. firebird.conf has below two lines. Only line changed was the port from
3050 to 3070#RemoteServiceName = g

I have an 3rd party application running firebird 1.5.
I want to install firebird 2.5 instance, with my application, without
affecting the other app.
I was able to do this by downloading the install kit from
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/firebird/firebird-win32/2.5.4-Release/F

Yes.
The 2 versions would need to be installed in separate folders and configured to
use/listen to 2 different TCP ports (ie. 3050 and 3051).

Hi
Is it possible to run version 2.0 and version 2.5.1 simultaneously on windows?
Also. I know windows 8 isn't officially out yet, but was
Firebird running on the beta versions of windows 8?
Thanks
