Hi all,

I am very pleased to announce the release of version 2.7.0 of fish.

This release brings many improvements which should improve the
experience for new and existing users of fish, including better handling
of invalid array indices, a better debugger and a new `argparse` builtin
for handling arguments in scripts.

For distributors, the `which` command has been removed from the
dependency list.

As always, before upgrading, please read the release notes carefully.

The tarball and packages for Linux, OS X and Windows will soon be
available from https://fishshell.com/ and the release notes will be at
https://fishshell.com/release_notes.html - but in the meantime I have
uploaded the release to the GitHub releases page at:
  https://github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/releases/tag/2.7.0

The Linux packages have been submitted to the release:2 channel, and if
you are using your system package manager to install fish from these
channels a new version will make its way to you soon.

A pull request for Homebrew has been submitted, and should be available
to users of that system shortly.

For our distributors, the tarball is available at
https://github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/releases/tag/2.7.0 - the
SHA-256 sum is
3a76b7cae92f9f88863c35c832d2427fb66082f98e92a02203dc900b8fa87bcb and the
tarball has a signature from my personal PGP key, as does this message.

A big thank you to all those who have contributed code, documentation,
problem reports, and Github reactions over the last four months.

It's our pleasure to particularly welcome the following contributors who
