my power went off, so I left the chat room and shut down my computer

Just a note, when using wire for your electric fencing, cut it in thirty to
forty foot sections. Smaller if you want. Makes for lots of joinings but
when a horse gets tangled in it they don't run off trailing a hundred or so
feet of it. I u

Hi Jean:
I'm glad that you wrote to say that your horse also has the singlefoot gait.
>From my research it appears that the Fjord should have this gait, or maybe
moreso in some families, just due to the area in which this horse
originated.

Thanks, Gayle!
That's a "singlefoot" or "amble." Four beats. On the Peruvian Paso, it is
four evenly-spaced beats, but on most other horses it is what is called in
different areas and at various speeds, amble, rack, stepping-pace,

Does anybody know if there is a web-site for the Libby Nordicfest, or for
the town itself? Isn't someone on the list from Libby and involved in the
Nordic-fest?

If your snaffle bit pinches the sides of your horse's mouth, it is too small.
No one believes it until they see it, but both of my geldings are in 6"
snaffle bits that are about 16 mm or 18 mm in thickness. You should have a

Michelle,
I wonder if his molar teeth need to be looked at? If the bit is pulling
his cheeks against the edge of sharp teeth, that can be a reason a horse
is reluctant to turn one direction or another.

Just out of curiousity, I wanted to get responses from people on the list
about breeding Fjords to jacks. Now don't get me wrong, I am against
outcrossing with other breeds, and I am not a person who cares to own or

day one. I imprinted her, worked with her regularly, ground drove her,
