     I ride during the winter but I guess not hard or long enough for anybody 
to overheat.  I ride bareback then since everything leather gets moved into the 
house when it gets cold (unheated barn) so maybe that's why the only really 
warm spot on either of my boys is where I put my ample behind.  When I had QHs, 
there were blankets, coolers and sheets for all occasions...their wardrobes 
were a LOT more expensive than mine!  Bogie and Braveheart have one light sheet 
each, worn between the wash rack and the show ring.  For winter we just go with 
fat and furry.
