Hi Kelly,
Fjords have competed in the Battle of the Breeds at Spruce Meadows a few times.
The Alberta Fjord Horse Association discusses the Battle every year or so, to
see if there is enough interest to field a time. I would like to see the Fjords

Hi Everyone,
I have had the good fortune to take a Chris Irwin clinic. I learned more from
Chris in one week than in two year of college. He has a way of explaining riding
and horse action that makes sense. If you can get to a Chris Irwin clinic it is
well

Hi Charla,
I have fed oat straw to my Fjords. They seem to like it. Wheat and barley straw
can cause problems if there are any awns left from the combining. The horses
don't
like wheat or barley straw as well either.

Hi,
A friend has asked me to list her fjords for sale. She has a team of gelding, a
bob sled, and a roundabout buggy. Norma also has two older mares that are broke

Hi,
I really likethe idea of video/DVD evaluations. It levels the playing field. It
is
expensive to get to the evaluations. I have a friend who brought a young Rocky
Mountain Horse. She had to make video of her horse after she got her trained,

Hi Everyone,
I have a 28 year old Mare Leika who came from Norway. She has the lighter eyes,
but I wouldn't call them amber. Leika goes back to Grabb.

Hi,
The book sounds like a wonderful idea. I am interested in putting in a page.
I will pass this onto the Alberta Fjord Horse Assoc. at their next meeting.
Are you including assoc. in the book as well?

Hi Linda,
What is the seleium levels like in your area? Too much seleium will show up as
hair loss. It is just a though since all feed seems to have seleium added and
if your soil is high in seleium, your horses could be getting an overdose.
