Hello Everybody from Carol Rivoire at Beaver Dam Farm in Nova Scotia - When I wrote Gjest's obituary, there was a paragraph towards the end where I mentioned sons of Gjest who are breeding stallions and making significant contributions of their own. -- I said that I hoped I hadn't forgotten any of the stallions. I had this nagging feeling that I was forgetting one of them, but , it turned out that I forgot three. IRONWOOD BLITZEN - (Gjest x SF Saska - daughter of Holunder) is owned by Margaret Bogie in VA, and is probably the busiest Fjord stallion around. Blitzen does just about everything anyone could ask of a horse, and Margaret is tireless in working for and promoting the Fjord breed. BDF LANCELOT - (Gjest x Yvonne - daughter of Lorentz . . .if I remember correctly) -- "Lance" as his owners call him is a relatively unknown, but exceptionally beautiful Gjest son. BDF YUKON (Gjest x Stine - daughter of the Swedish stallion Ene) - Yukon is owned by Ron Reginato and Sheila Kyte in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. -- He's just 2 years, and expects his first foals next spring.
