This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Everyone!!
I do not show my Fjord or my quarterhorse -- but nontheless, have a great deal of fun with them - and of course, LOVE the "show" them off :) I recently started "Sven" (the Fjord) in driving lessons for both him (a tune-up) and me. My trainer loves him -- says he is very willing and moves well. Sven is ll years old and we hope to train him to ride this winter. I had a training lesson today - that went well. When I got home I saddled-up my QH and after I rode him my hubby got on him and I rode Sven bareback (never had done it before). I felt like I was riding on a sofa - HA!!! He was a really good boy! Yesterday, my hubby and I, and Sven met Susan H., her hubby and daughter, and Major at a county park nearby and drove for about l 1/2 hours -- first time I had taken Sven to a park -- he was a real good guy!! HE LOVES TO BE ON THE TRAIL - and loves to trot!! I think he would have gone on another hour. After one full year of owning Sven I can honestly say I absolutely love this horse -- he is tons of fun to take places and in about a month we are taking both horses to some land we own near Fargo/Moorhead for 9 days - peaceful, quiet and great horse country. Anyone out there live in the Moorhead, MN area??? Oh ya, this weekend both boys also got the "beauty-shop" treatment -- a couple of handsome fellows :) So, you can see my weekend was full of "horsey-stuff" -- and with my daughter off to college and having a great time -- I am ever more thankful for my horse friends. They keep me busy and help to fill that "empty nest" feeling. Hope you all had a good weekend, too. Now we are looking forward to that first frost, the beautiful colors and the smell of fall. My favorite time of the year!! Linda in Minnesota where we are having a glorious day!!!!!
