This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I've had a off-list request for the site where I found Clicker Training information. I'm going to reply on-list, because I'm really impressed by the results of this training method that I've seen so far, and it seems to work so well with greedy Fjords. IMO the best sites I've looked at so far are: 1. The site run by Alexandra Kurland the woman who "wrote the book" on clicker training horses. You can find it at: www.crisny.org/users/kurlanda/index.html
2. A site titled, "An Animal Trainer's Introduction To Operant and Classical Conditioning" which is maintained by Stacy Braslau-Schneck. It has some very good theoretical information. The URL is: www.geocities.com/Athens/Academy/8636/Clicker.html Both of these sites are on a clicker training Web Ring. You can get to many other sites following the ring links. We worked with the greedy Morgan yesterday. He started out much slower than Tank, but once he figured out what behavior I wanted, he got it down pat immediately and drained the oat bowl quickly. -- Steve McIlree & Cynthia Madden -- Pferd, Keyah, Skipper, Tank -- Omaha, Nebraska, USA Noblest of the train that wait on man, the flight-performing horse. --William Cowper(1731-1800)
