I have a bad left knee, that was translating into bad
rididng...specifically, a collapsed hip and way too much weight in one
stirrup. Saddles were always sliding sideways, and my knee hurt when
posting. Went to the gym with a personal trainer (Pilates, mostly) trying
to fix it. Never could get it right because I was always tight in the hip
and lower back.

FINALLY went to a chiropractor. A few days ago, after the fourth treatment,
my knee problems completely change. They are not completely fixed, but my
body no longer feels so obviously out of whack, and I can actually do the
exercises the personal trainer gives me. There was NO way I could release
that tightness using my own muscles to stretch myself out.

I have always been very suspicious of chiropractic, but this was an amazing
difference, after trying other things for so long.

Either this chiropractor fixed me, or I have gone into denial about the
symptoms because I am terrified of Rolfing...which was the thing the chiro
suggested if he could not free things up.

Apparently between age 50 and 62 my lower back and hip
joints had seized up. Now my fear is that I will not be able to get off (of

my own choice) if I had to.

If anyone knows of exercises specifically to help this inflexibility I'd
like to know of them. I have not encountered this "disability" in any other

activity of normal life.
