Hi Steve,
We have three Poms and they came from a farm where they were raised to run
and play in the barn as well as the house. They get along just fine with our
horses and would be out in the barn all the time if we allowed it.. I tend
to be over protective because they are small .... however , they don't know
they are small!!! :) Again I think it's all in the way they are raised and
trained.
They are great with kids and other dogs too....I don't think I'd call them
herding dogs though!:)
.I had always thought of Poms as pampered prissy little things until I met
the breeder where ours came from and got to know her dogs.
Just had to put in a plug for our Pomeranians!!!!:)
I do love the corgis... I've never had one but from what I have seen they
are great little dogs.

in Maine where spring has sprung and Liz( fjord) is waiting for my
dislocated shoulder to mend so we can get back to work/play again. Goal is
to be hitched in the cart and driving this summer.Never too old to learn new
things!
