I'll keep the talk going on Gjest. :-) I have in my barn, a 4 yr old Gjest Filly for sale on consignment. Lida Mir, dam is Mira, who was imported from Norway and who also was on my farm last summer to sell on consignment. Mira sold FAST, she rode and drove nicely. Lida was not matured enough to start her last fall so she stayed on my farm till this spring, where she really bloomed over winter and spring. Lida Mir is the MOST talented Fjord I've ever started. WOW, the laterals on that girl. She has about 6-7 weeks under saddle. Including long lining, ground driving, so she is green but wow, talent galore. Lida is 14hh, with a GROUND COVERING WALK, springy trot and she loves to canter. No problem getting this fjord to canter. She does have a bit of a mare attitude, needs to be told who is in charge. Ground manners are VERY VERY Good, but at times under saddle she likes to see if she is in control. She will make an awesome hunter/jumper, dressage, eventer, CDE, you name it. She has it. I think she will make a great child's mount too in another year or so, she needs more time and training. But she is EASY to ride, very responsive to seat, legs, weight, reins. Owner needs to sell, price is at $5500 now, should go up with more training.
