The gelding SFF Axel has not been sold and is going home Sept 4th. (back to
Susan Crawfords). But at this point he is being ridden consistently and
ready for a family. Susan is going to work with her crew at her farm to
keep him ridden, but I know this gelding well now and he is a good one.
I received him early June, unbroke 8 year old. He
proved to me to have the good work ethic of the Fjord because by July he
attended the Blue Earth Show and took home some ribbons - 5th out of 15 in
halter - 5th in the inhand trail (he has good ground manners) and as I said
before was placed 3rd in the green walk/trot, then came off the rail in
front of the judge - just as an announcement came over the loud speaker as
he was trotting by. Since Blue Earth he has been trail ridden by a 66 yr
old man ( that had triple by pass and a stroke). He's been ridden alone and
doing really really well. He also was one of the geldings Patti Walter's
girls rode bareback 8+ miles up and down and around daily when they visited
in early July.
He is 14-1 1/2 hands, brown dun and by Anvil's Torbjorn out of Dokka by
Gjestarson.

It says allot of a horse to have gone through so much in so short of a time
and come out sane, happy and sensible. He enjoys this life, he enjoys people
and the attention given. He is ready to go to a home for family riding,
trail and showing. He is not spooky or opinionated, he trusts and wants to
please. He is a good clean mover, sound and has no vices. very good
stalled, and has all the manners, clips (no twitch), baths, stands for
farrier, no problem loading or hauling. Crossties and can be kept with other
horses (he is not the boss).

I've gotten other good geldings in for sale, get inquires, then when the
horse is sold people call me and say "oh I should have bought him"...well
Axel is now "one of those". Call Susan at (815) 673-2068 or email her at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or contact me directly. I have pictures I
can email.

I will be leaving this week for the eval, then when I come home - he's
going home and I'm bringing back another to start from scratch.

All of the hard work is done with him. He made it through school, learned
and is now ready to do what you want.
If your looking for a good ride for the fall, he's ready to enjoy. He's had
a good year.
