Fluorescent orange is not my favorite color either, but there's a clear reason why it's preferred over all other colors for safety gear -- it's THE color most easily seen by the human eye. No other bright or fluorescent color comes close, which is why all hunters and most highway workers are required to wear fluorescent orange outerwear. I'll personally stick with fluorescent orange during hunting season, even if it does make a rather garish fashion statement. ;-) DeeAnna
