Last night at around 8:30pm Tundra had her first foal,a beautiful colt. I
arrived just minutes after it was all said and done. Of course I
did. Isn't that usually how it goes?

I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I peeked over the door and saw mom
and baby laying side by side. What a treat that was.
This little guy was up and walking around just 15 minutes after being born.
He's got Gjest's great determination that's for sure.

Carol and I have great aspirations for this little one who's name is BDF
Young. Tundra, his dam, is a wonderful mare with a tremendous work ethic
and along with Gjest's temperament and his awesome work ethic he should turn
out to be one heck of a performance horse. Only time will tell. We can
hardly wait.

We have 3 more mares due to foal here at Beaver Dam Farm. The next due to
foal is Valley. She's due May 23rd. I just love this time of year.

Kind regards, Jaimie Benoit
