Just thought I'd email everyone and tell you if you didn't attend the MWFHC/NFHR winter meeting YOU MISSED A GREAT EVENT! Last weekend March 16-18 in St. Paul MN around 93 Fjord lovers attended the MWFHC and the NFHR winter meeting and forum. We are going to have to start calling it our SPRING meeting since we keep pushing it back later and later. A bit of history we originally started having the MWFHC meeting in DEC in Stoughton WI. Then we pushed it to FEB, now March and I'm getting a bit ahead of myself but next year it will be in APRIL! But, back to last weekend. Sue Plein did a superb job of organizing the event. She had demo's in western dressage, ridden dressage, driven dressage, bits, new ADS divisions, Ski Joering, harness fitting, feeding our horses, and history of Gene Bauer the biggest promoter of Fjords in the US. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Was a real nice weekend of fun, education and fellowship. Friday night brought out the pocket books with an auction bringing in over $2,000. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who brought items. It was a fun time! Saturday and Sunday we watched the demo's and did a little shopping. Sue also arranged to have some vendors on site. I enjoyed seeing everyone and since the NFHR also joined us this year, I got to put names to faces and that was awesome, plus meet some new folks, another big plus. THANK YOU SUE for organizing, THANK YOU all who brought in horses. Sure others will write in and tell more, to me, it was and always is a great time being with other Fjord owners.
