Last weekend I took "Willow" my almost 1 year old Ole filly to her first show. And mine too. It was just a small schooling show, but we were the only Fjord there. Being late, I missed the yearling halter, so we went into the color class halter. There were about 30 other horses in the class, mostly big Paint horses, all slicked out and in show halters, with chains over their noses. Then there was fuzzy little Willow in a nylon halter, because after all it was a schooling show! Anyway, I figured it was all for fun and learning. But we came in 3rd place! She was such a good girl, you would have thought she had been there many times. She loved the trotting part.
