I'm glad to see so many benefiting from back strengthening exercises.  A
good program will target those muscles which help support the back ... like
abdominals, obliques, etc... without stressing the back directly.  You'll
also get a terrific side effect ... less arthritis pain (for those of us old
enough to experience it).  One more benefit is to your horse...the stronger
your back, the more likely you are to maintain a centered seat.  Keep up the
good work for yourself!

My children were in the kitchen today making an old family favorite
ookie  - and one the Fjords will beg for.  It's made with dates, sugar, eggs
and Rice Krispies.  When you've mixed it all, you roll it into small balls
and coat with crushed cereal sweetened with brown sugar.  This  concoction
has never had a name.  When the children finished,  they dubbed it .... Road
Apples.
