The reason that people like to import the young horses is that you can get up to three in a crate which lessens costs considerably. Also if the horse is less than two(?), it doesn't to go through a long quarentine. This makes them relatively cheap to import and prices have been somewhat cheaper for the horses in Europe than here (up to now at least). And isn't it impressive to tell people you have imported Fjords for sale. And we can always use some new blood to improve the breeding here.
