Now here is my question. Has anyone ever heard of worming for 5 consecutive
days with a double dose of Fendobenzadole to eradicate the encysted
stronglye? I have come across some articles on the net, and am wondering if
anyone has done it?
Yes! A few years ago we had five horses arrive as new boarders from a cross US trip (VT to WA), and one of the youngsters, a yearling filly, had two colic bouts. Both owner and vet were out of town, so my hubby and I dealt with both colics. The day after the second colic, our vet came home, did a fecal test and prescribed 5 days of consecutive tubes (FULL tubes despite the filly weighing around 700 lbs). She was fine during and after! It was amazing, and I probably asked the vet to repeat the instructions three times, as I thought that was just too much! Check with your vet. YMMV (your mileage may vary!). :-)
