I was thinking of you the other day, Jean, when a new Fjord owner didn't want
to look at property as far north as Courtenay (about 3 hours north of
Victoria; think Seattle climate with less rain) because it would be too cold
for her boy.

Ha Ha ha! Horses do very well up here, and Fjords are especially suited to this
weather with all their fur. Granted it takes a little more preparation to get
set
up for winter with insulated heated stock tanks, etc. but flies are not a
problem
