I know my Lang does not have a good back end, from his stifles, down to his
hocks and even just a tad pigeon toed on the back end. The stifles are most
likely due to the bad conformation. I know he has OCD in one stifle, most
likely both, so when we inject we do both, though when if first appeared, it
was one stifle found by doing a digital xray after he was "off".
I also have Miss "Ynde", only youngster I've ever had, and she had a club foot
that showed itself at just a few months old...we did the surgery and though
her foot looks normal, I do concern myself about the ligament. She also does
not have the best shoulders, straighter than my Langs, so she tends to lock up
more in the front end. She tries though. And she has a very nice backend.
Amber, the old lady, she seems to not have any issues other than at 20yrs. of
age a bit of arthritis in the hocks, but supplements take care of that, she
moves really nice, when she wants to...she's in no hurry.
