Re: barn swallows...we have a "couple" that raise two families each year
- same nest - above the goat pen. We notified the new owner of our place to
leave the little flap-door open so they can get in and out:) His children

We have tons (flocks?) of bats... watch them circle at night when it's
warm... maybe it's because we also have a lot of woods nearby and a nature
preserve. They have been known to nest en masse in our equipment barn... one
time I disturbed
