It sounds like he needs some Parelli 7 games work if he's bored and has
decided he's had enough arena work. He also may have a saddle that doesn't
fit. I've seen that issue more than once- and the horse was trying to say
in a nice way, "I will

I am not
a confident rider myself (I consider myself an
advanced beginner, having had a bad fall in college).
I also have some concerns about his age (sooner to

Hello Everyone--
The other day I skimmed the digest and recalled
reading about older aged fjords. Lo and behold, I
came across an 18 year old gelding for sale at a
riding/training stable an hour away from me. I am
obsessed with owning a fjor
nd riding horses for family & friends, & many have good pedigree's
& are still able to be bred.

What
is the general age span for a Fjord? How long can they be bred or

I would like to eventually buy a trained Fjord (that 19 year old
seemed
perfect for me!),

I hope to have many more good years with my fjord mare.
I too add salt to feed in the winter to increase their water intake. Even
with heated tanks some horses don't drink enough.
Question: I saw where one person mentioned thyroid problem

Hello everyone,
We have had much success in training older horses, including Fjords. In our
experience, there are a few things to consider when beginning such training.
Regardless of the age of the horse in question, it is imperative the horse
