I'm not knowledgeable but they have been described to me as almost impossible to fall out of AND bail out of.
Gail, this is the one reason that I dislike these saddles . Some folks really like the snugged in feeling, but too me, I think I actually get a little claustrophobic - same reason why I never was able to kayak, much to my family's dismay.
I ride either an ancient forward seat jumping saddle, complete w/ the "en vogue" again knee and thigh rolls; a County dressage saddle; and a custom made, from the tree on up, A fork ,round skirted western saddle, definitly my saddle of choice! Finally got a dandy set of new stirrups for this saddle, as I actually wore completely thru the old ones! Karen
