Linda Parelli has issued a statement on the Parelli site. I have the link
to it if anyone is interested.
I will not quote her long letter that talks about, " the wind " , "
previous owners ", or that the horse didnt really " like people . " She does
say
though, in the first sentance, that
if she " were watching the video with no explanation ( *excuses ? ) or
knowledge of what was going on "
that she also
" WOULD BE UPSET. " yep. Its upsetting.
There is no statement in the entire letter that says that the footage shown
in the video has been edited in any way. Good for them. Its a start.
Linda also mentions that her methods do not create " head shyness " which
is the least thing people are calling it. In fact, she says " just the
opposite is true. " No further explanation about that.
There is another statement that was already known....that the video " left
off the first part, " where the horse was " pushy around his owner " and
was doing naughty bad " behaviors with personal space. "
Yeah, we get that.
Even on windy days here, naughty, pushy and space invading behaviors do not
warrent an almost 5 min. face beating. This is not Natural Horsemanship.
This was abuse.
There is a section where the owner of this horse talks about how well he is
doing and how he still follows the Parelli practices with him. I could not
finish reading that part.
