Hi Carol-- I recently purchased a Wintec Isabell in anticipation of under saddle training for my 3 year old Fjern who I got in October (Thank you again Lisa Pedersen, she is the BEST!). I had ridden in one before and found it to be effortlessly comfortable. Mine came with the medium gullet plate, but I am going to borrow a gullet gauge and be sure that I have the saddle properly fitted. I happened to get a fabulous deal on it at the Midwest horse fair so it was a bit of an impulse buy. I also have a Wintec Western which I love. It is super light weight, was inexpensive and feels like sitting in an easy chair. It doesn't fit my narrow withered TB gelding well so I am hoping it will be a good trail saddle for Fjern when the time comes. I also knew someone who had a wintec 2000 a/p--she sold it and bought an Isabell. Let us know what you decide! Gina L.
