This message is from: Lisa Sherrodd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi List, I have a registered purebred Swedish Gotland mare that I would entertain trading for a Fjord. Some of you have asked me about my Gotlands, as they are smaller than Fjords but have the same personality and non-spooky mentality. "Lucia" is a 4 year old bay mare, has had 30 days professional saddle training and was ridden extensively last summer by my 7 year old daughter on trails, in the arena and in the pasture. She is just over 12hh. Lucia is spunky with tons of personality, very forward but not spooky. I can always tell what she is "thinking" by her expressions. She is very well mannered, will do what is asked of her. She ties, clips, bathes, loads. She has been started over small jumps, and in my opinion, would make an excellent pony club or jumping prospect for the right child rider. She will need a rider that is confident, not timid. You can see a picture of Lucia as a baby at www.gotlands.org, on the front page collage, she is the horse that is laying down with the two girls leaning over her back. The palomino colt on the front page is her full brother, and she comes from a buckskin stallion so she has the potential to throw color.
I would entertain trading her for a Fjord gelding that has had some saddle work. Age does not matter. The Fjord would have to be well-mannered enough for my rather timid 8 year old daughter to handle. I am located in Rapid City, South Dakota, so Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, ND locations would probably be best. Thanks! Lisa Tired of spam? Yahoo!
