I've started playing with the trial version of print2flash, and tested it on two files. It crashed on the large catalog, with lots of linked pictures (including two with bad links that trigger ID warnings) and did fine with the text only file. I printed the catalog from Acrobat, and it generated a file, albeit one larger than the original PDF.
