I dont think anything matters with the future of a technology. The technology might stay for long or might go but its you, who get benefited or might be the first one who will catch the new dominating technology. We still remember how crazy we were for Flash in 2001-2004. Everyone was like mad about the technology and they just didnt wanted to change it but IT CHANGED and it CHANGED for good reasons.. reason was changing scenario .. changing demand .. i.e. RIA .. Flex is here to stay for longer but not for eternity .. we have to welcome some more technologies which might be another gift from Adobe who might target some other needs .... Meanwhile You who is a flex engineer will be benefited with the technology even after it is phased out coz there will always be a demand of migrators... I hope this clarifies ..
