[flexcoders] Focus in text fields

I have a data grid for which I want to be able to focus on the entire text in a field in the grid so the field can be changed by simply typing over what is already there. Currently, when I focus into the field, the cursor goes to the end of the text instead of hi-liting all the text in the

I have an editable data grid with which I would like to use the error handling capabilities of Flex (i.e. found in Flex application examples). I have not been able to find any documentation to help me. I would appreciate it if someone can point me to any documentation or examples. Thank
