I had similar experience with Amazon after switching default address from US to UK and back. Just cancel the order and do one-click or similar shortcut - sometimes it takes few tries.
Ordered the book in the morning and got shipping/tracking confirmation few hours ago

You know, I just ordered this from Amazon this morning, which said it was released, but my order details then showed that the book wasn't going to ship until December 17. That just doesn't sound right.
