The 'Peak Hold' function in Preview9 works, but when it is disengaged,
it doesn't reset. Therefore, when it is re-engaged, the
previously-captured peaks are once again presented. The only way (that I
can see) to reset it is to cycle the On/Standby button.

I would suggest you set up a spread sheet screen in
the set up menu that would allow the default step
sizes to be entered for each mode. I would also

Happy to report 9 is working fine...what did I do to fix it..don't know..don't care..its working..I'm happy..Bob
There seems to be quite a bit confusion
about what is necessary to compile our source here lately, so let me post some
things that will hopefully clear things up:
All of the core developers use
at a minimum Visual Studio .NET 2003 (sometimes

Andrew,
It's on the list, but has just never made it to the top. Better than just
adding 50Hz, it would make sense to just add custom tuning steps so you can
use whatever you like. :)

I believe we have a bug where is you have
the Tuner installed, the SWR meter is removed. However, with the ATU not configured, SWR
should show up while in TUN mode. I’ll check this when I get
back to the office.

This is likely related to DirectX in
Preview 8. I dare say even some leftover piece of DirectX in preview 9, but I
can’t say for sure. We’ll be in touch privately to help figure
this out when I’m back in the office (Thurs.).

Larry,
If you are measuring that much output on the cable that goes to the radio
labeled "To Line Out", but you are likely overdriving the audio. Are you
using the Delta 44? If so, is it set to -10dBv Output as specified in the
Delta 44 Quick Start Guide (www.flex-radio.com/delta44/delta44.htm)?

I think tapping the DS90LV028 will add more capacitance on that line than the rest of the hardware subsystem can tolerate (more capacitance = less like a square wave at the mixer, especially at the higher frequencies). Taking an unobtrusive amount directly from the 200 MHz oscillator (say -
Hi Eric,
I hope your Christmas vacation was restful. Here is another bug in
v1.4.5 Preview 9. The external controls do not work in the transmit
mode, but they work fine in receive.

Hi all,
When running PowerSDR v1.4.5P9 in DIGU mode with
VAC engaged to receive images with HamPal, I get the following
error:
HamPal is software that uses modified DRM to
transmit high quality digital images within 2.3kHz bandwidth (usually 14.233
MHz) HamPal will only accept VAC set
Chas,
It is good to see you have things working with Preview7. I can
understand your concern about software stability and usability. There
is a stable version, 1.4.4 that can be used and is recommended to be
used if you do not what to wrangle with a preview version. You don't
get the latest feat
Hi,
I have VAC and VCOM installed and working well. I take it that it is
proper to turn VAC off in order to operate SSB from a mike. MixW CW
and all digital modes work well, and my external keyer works well in
parallel with keying CW with MixW from macros or from the
keyboard Now to MMTTY.
Quite a few problems that I had with ATU and USB controller went away
when I got a proper ground directly from the ground rod to the back
of the sdr1000. I should have known better and had not had many
problems with my 1 watt unit. The 100w unit is not as forgiving.

I was having very good luck with Review 9 since I installed it
until this morning. When I try to manually tune, power stay at whatever
setting I have it on, i.e. if it was set at 50 it would stay set at 50. Before
it would reset to 10 watts and stayed at that level until it was done tunin
Current thoughts on disciplining the wandering 200 MHz osc are to tap off
the output of the 200 MHz clock. buffer it and then feed it to an FPGA or
microcontroller to be counted against a GPS locked 1pps or 10 khz reference
and then to supply the count data back to the PowerSDR software where it
Greetings Richard,
If you have the ATU installed and selected from the PowerSDR setup
screen, you loose the SWR selection in the pull-down menu when in TX and
bypass TUN modes. I believe the logic behind this is that the ATU
is not looking to minimize the apparent SWR but to provide a approximat
