Don't think it will increase latency -- the DttSP code runs on blocks of
some number of samples. So if you're running at 96khz instead of 48khz the
time per block is halved.
True you do have to move 2x the amount of data/unit time but it will not
have the effect of increasing latency.

Once someone finds the time to put a UI on the DttSP multi receiver code,
the greater sampling rate will give you a wider tuning range for sub receivers.

Are your sure it doesn't just produce twice as much data sent to the
computer at the same rate, increasing latency?

Here is one advantage. Using a sampling rate of 96 KHz as opposed to 48
KHz processes a data stream twice as fast. This reduces the latency of
processed audio in half (theoretically).

I wonder if its really something to "enjoy". Is there much benefit to the
96KHz beyond a wider display when in SPEC mode using PowerSDR? I can see it
as an advantage when using the softrock boards that are not tunable.

Mike,
If the USB Adapter becomes disconnected (either physically or due to RFI)
while the PowerSDR is running, you should get a pop-up notification that
says something to the effect that the USB Adapter is disconnected. It will
also note that you will need to go back and re-enable the checkbox to
I have seen somewhat similar things that I think are related to getting RF
into the USB parallel cable. When that happens it looks like the cable is
not connected and the software unchecks the box.

Mike,
Yes, the problem you describe is usually caused by RFI and has plagued me in
my second-story shack location. Just go back into Setup and recheck the USB
Adapter Present box, you shouldn't have to import the file again. I have
(mostly) cured mine by going back to the parallel port as oppose

Last weekend I was using version 1.6.0 on 40 meters AM when suddenly
everything went south. Long story short.
Under the setup, general, hardware config. tabs somehow the USB adapter had
become deselected. This was a confounding problem that could have caused
serious problems.
