I used the Radio Shack ground isolator and it disappeared. Also note that

I don't know about BeaconSee but there was a flurry of talk about Faros
(http://www.dxatlas.com/Faros/) on the reflector last year. I downloaded it
and it seemed to run fine, no problems found with the CAT interface.
