Dave,
I did not mean to imply that the Delta 44 card was not good. It just
needs a pre amp if the mic output is not adequate. There are many
condenser mics that have plenty of output for the Delta 44 to work
well. It is just the combination that needs to be correct. I have been
using my
Tom,
I am sure it is quite good for it's original purpose, as well as for the
Flex application; when an appropriate microphone is used.
I just happened to select the GM-5 for it's audio characteristics, and it is
one of the mics that don't produce enough output to let the PowerSDR run in

I tried calling some of the military stations during the Armed Forces
Day event, this past Saturday. This involved setting VFO A for RX to
the military station's freq and setting VFO B to the ham band freq for
TX.
The rig would apparently tune fine via the ATU but I didn't appear to
see any
I also like Ed's (W2RF) code. It definitely makes CW operation a lot
smoother.
That said, I plan to purchase the 2nd receiver, which will require changes
added by Eric in the trunk branch. I am concerned that Ed's code won't
support the 2nd receiver.
1. Will Ed merge the 2nd receiver code into
I definitely want the spacenavigator and I/Q VAC outputs incorporated
also. I spend 99% using his branch.

David,
Many customers have and continue to successfully use the Delta 44 with
directly connected microphones. There are a number of articles that deal
with this in the Knowledge Base on our website. You should enter a search
for, Delta 44 microphone and you will get 10 articles. See
Ed's CW enhancements were merged into the trunk and the test and rx2
branches this morning. :)
We will definitely be incorporating the Direct I/Q feature as well, but it
won't likely make the next official release due to time/scheduling
constraints.
A major thanks goes to Ed for his work in
I had the same problem but finally got to work AAZ at Fort Huachucha AZ

frequencies inside the regular ham bands is no problem. But with AAZ on

Carl,
Thanks for the feedback - at least I now know that my rig was not behaving any
more abnormally than yours! Actually, Ft. Huachucha was the one I really
wanted - my son did several months of training there.
Sounds like a bug report is in order since I can't think of any reason why

We highly recommend that the Knowledge Base be used as a first source of
information on all of our radios.
Please note that PowerSDR continually evolves to include new improvements
that apply to the SDR-1000
Before I order one from DEMI, I wonder if anyone has one of the internal 2m
transverters that they wish to part with? Also looking for a 1W SDR-1000,
Dayton is coming up and I am sure someone will be upgrading.

Jim,
You are living my pain :-)
The answer is sometimes the KB articles are regression reviewed for
correctness. But as a matter of standard procedure they are not. As you
pointed out, it is a difficult thing to do because the snippets of info are not
cross referenced in a manner that would
Prior to the RX2 starting to ship, there probably will be a new released
version of PowerSDR.
I can pretty much guarantee it will not be this week (before Dayton).

which is the challenge..
As you pointed out,
I see two of my bug fixes merged, but not the main QSK improvements
which are in the DttSP files winmain.c and update.c

I merged as much as I was comfortable with this morning. We'll have to
discuss offline the changes to the DSP...what they mean, the goals in mind,
any potential downsides, etc.

Jim,
Good points. At a more basic level, as a new user of a Flex 5000A I have
posted a number of queries. In each case I did check the kb and use the kb
Search first. But when that fails I will query here and will, if all else
fails, call support.
I know it is sometimes a boring burden to
A useful feature that has been added to the Test branch (press center

decrease tuning step) does not seem to have made it into your branch. I
hope you will add it.
