Some of that may be high RF , common mode RF backing down the coax, a
common problem with unbalanced antennas like verticals. Do you have a
lot of RF in the shack? I keep a field strength meter setting on top

The 5000 definitely has a quieter rx. I do not know if you can really
tell the 5000 is more sensitive (although you know it is) but I can

I have used the edgeport 4 port and 8port and both have worked very well.
You will need some ferrite beads to isolate the unit from RF if you use high
power. I wish I was associated with edgeport and if anyone wants to donate
stock, money, IRCs etc I will gladly take them.

My 5000A is due to be delivered Monday. I just bought an ATEN UC2324 and
was delivered this week. Been testing it on everything and I have and no
problems yet. $79.95 shipped. I will find out in a few days how well it
works with DDutil and all the externals.

If yours is a conventional modern desktop PC, don't forget that you
can just plug in a card to give you serial ports. I added a card with
