I suspect its a matter of what IRQ sharing is going on. If your 1394 card is sharing an IRQ with a Sata controller used for your main drive, you are likely to see some impact. System restore just seems to never be able to work when I need it so I use Acronis True Image home with it saving a backup

All FLEX SDRs use the same PowerSDR CAT command set (and will respond to Kenwood CAT commands too - it is bilingual). Some PowerSDR CAT commands are not available on all hardware platforms due to hardware differences. The CAT protocol really should be labeled as "PowerSDR" in HRD since that re
