Hi Mike,
That's interesting. What adjustments do you find it necessary to make, and
under what conditions?

Spot On! Keyer contacts can indeed be part of the problem. My
Vibroplex Vibrokeyer is challenging in this way, even with my Collins

for reliable operation (yea, yea, OK, I know the Vibrolkeyer has
issues of its own).

Hi folks:
I'm a happy Bencher user on the Flex-3000 so I thought I'd throw in my
'numbers'. Believe me... I'm no CW sprinter but I plod along at 25 to 30wpm
without any issues.

So will this now support same band RX2? Will there be any extended RX (and

situations where frequency allocations are not global (2.3 and 3.4GHz in

Don,
You need quick turn around times for CW, So we will need to raise your
sample rate and lower your buffer, this will increase the CPU usage, so
if you are already running high CPU rate, you might need to do
something to increase your CPU power. Here is a couple of links that

I've been using the FLEX-3000 with a pair of Begali Classic paddles
since day one without any issue at all. My only 'special' setting is to
select Iambic Mode B :-) I generally leave the Break In delay at the
default of 60 mS, and the sending speed generally runs anywhere from 25
to 50 wpm. In

I have tested a higher-power computer system that provides a dedicated IRQ
for your firewire card. The system consists of:

6GB of L3 cache (Smokin')
- 4GB of G.Skill DDR3 1333 Dual Channel memory

Just to comment on the cw with the f3k. I use a palm paddle and mfj bencher
clone at about 30 wpm with no problem at all. I ran keyboard remotely via
the internet using my apple macbook at 27 wpm with the same results. worked
ok.

Hi John
I've been watching the feedback about the 3000, sometimes tempted,
sometimes hesitating about getting my credit card out. I've still to
take the plunge. A radio I couldn't plug in my beloved Bencher paddles
into wouldn't be any fun at all. The Benchers have been with me for 35
years :
I concur with KX9Q's comments about using paddles with the F3K...tried
half a dozen guestimates for setup timing, delay, QSK or not, etc.
without notable success. Should be a no-brainer...plug in the paddles
and go, but no such thing. I did not try a straight key or my MFJ
keyboard. Gave up and
My guess is the problem that the reviewer was having with not seeing signals
well enough was because the display adjustments were not set correctly. I
use PanaFall 99% of the time and always have to adjust the display settings
depending on the band, time of day, etc.

I tried using cw last week with the paddle plugged directly into the F3K. It
worked great. I tried again last night and I got garbage as I tried to key. I
had the radio set to iambic keying and was using about 500ms delay. I created
a new db and used that and I still had the problem. The ke
