Sorry for any confusion. In case you did not see it, I have attached below

It provides an official update on the FLEX-1500(TM) as well as the

Here are the facts:

When I upgraded to my FLEX-5000A, I had to replace my old XP machine. The
XP machine exhibited extremely long DPC's (up to 4000us) which occurred each
time the disk drive was accessed. Could not find a way around the problem.
The new PC came with Vista. Thankfully, the VISTA machine has

Be sure PowerSDR is running with VAC enabled before bringing up WSJT.

Not all those who pre-ordered are on the reflector. An email to those

I wouldn't think so with the imminent arrival of the V/U module for the
FLEX-5000. Particularly since the V/U capabilities for the FLEX-5000 are not
compromise bands added to a radio to give it a DC to daylight feature set.

Hi Tim,
That's great, however I have a Flex3000 for the portability but would also
like UHF/VHF SSB/FM base..
I assumed that if the VHF/UHF module was not just a tack on, then it
shouldn't be difficult to interface it into a stand alone unit..

It isn't a tack on, but it does use a substantial amount of the guts in the
FLEX-5000. The V/U frequencies are mixed down to the high HF bands and then
fed into the TRX board so the RF can be converted to I/Q and then digitized
before being sent to PowerSDR.

Thanks for the reply Tim,
Fair enough, I'ts just a shame - I think a stand-alone VHF/UHF unit would
sell itself and fly out the door - especially if it were reasonably priced..
I know a few hams that would snap it up if it existed..
Perhaps run a poll or something and see if there Is enough
