You are probably over driving the radio. Set the TX meter to ALC and set the mic gain so that you never exceed -3 dB on peaks. Do not use the MIC meter to set your levels as it is at the beginning of the TX audio chain and the ALC is at the end. -Tim -Original Message- From: Gary S
